Limitations/Applicability
$1000 bond, $300,000 property damage and bodily injury insurance and $300,000 combined property damage and bodily injury insurance.
Application/Exam Requirements
Must be 21 or older to take exam, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1of the following: 5 years experience working with tools to install, alter or repair electrical wiring for light, heat or power, completion of a 4-year Board-approved apprenticeship program and 1 year of Board-approved work experience, 8,000 hours of experience working with tools to install, alter or repair electrical wiring for light, heat or power and 576 hours related classroom instruction, a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 2 years of Board-approved work experience. Fees
$100 application fee. $50 for business and law exam, $90 for the trade exam, and $85 for the alarm systems exam. $5 to rent the NEC book at the exam. The Board issues licenses every 3 years. License fee is $50 to $150, depending on when you get it during the three year period
