Limitations/Applicability
Before you can register with the Board, you must identify one member of your business as a Responsible Managing Individual (RMI). Usually the RMI is an owner, partner or corporate officer of the business. The RMI must complete a 16 hour course and pass a state test that cover business practices and laws pertaining to construction contractors. Can apply for residential only, commercial only, or dual liencse.
Application/Exam Requirements
Must complete prerequisite training and pass CCB's statewide test, file business name, corporation or LLC at the Oregon Corporation Division, obtain CCB surety bond in the required amount, general liability insurance in the required amount, worker's compensation and other applicable employee account numbers, submit a completed application along with the $260 license fee for 2 years. Exam administered by: Prometric, Inc.
