The Vanadium Redox battery is also called VRB battery in short. The newly invented battery goes a long way in stabilizing the distribution of energy in renewable systems. The battery can store power and then provide it to the energy grid. The element was first used in a project of NASA and flow batteries. The flow battery works by a simple methodology when the liquid electrolytes are pumped to the cell stack from the external pumps. Every cell stack has a different form of vanadium acid. The ions get exchanged through the discharge and charge cycle after moving through the hydrogen ion polymer membrane.

The flow of sulfuric acid and vanadium goes in the cell and interacts with the components in the battery. Hence the ions switch from positive to negative and negative to positive. Energy is produced in this way and stored until it is needed in peak time.

    Vanadium redox batteries will be juiced up by wind and solar generators. These batteries have a storage capacity of the size of the container the vanadium pentoxide liquid solution is stored to be charged, and discharged. This is the coolest set up I have ever seen. You could live any remote jungle or mountain peak as long as you had the vanadium redox battery, and a solar panel or wind turbine.
