Going green has led to an increasing number of jobs in the US. Today people are taking up jobs of being installers, green builder, energy auditor and fuel cell engineer. These are just some of the jobs from the long list of jobs connected with the green revolution. These jobs earn the professionals millions of dollars across the US and the world. Let us have a brief look at some of the most popular growing green jobs in the US.

First we have the rapid growing population of energy auditors. These are people who test the efficiency of the cooling and heating systems in homes and offices. They also check the effectiveness of the insulation and based on their findings they recommend the appropriate measures of going green. After their audit work is complete many of them also do the weatherization work.
Then we have the wind turbine and the solar panel installers. Since these technologies are relatively new and delicate it is best left to the experts to install the systems. The niche market is growing at a fast rate as more and more green builders are entering the industry providing jobs to thousands of installers across the US.

A professional installer normally has a combination of carpentry skills for installation and electrical skills for making the project work.
Then there are ever increasing jobs for the turbine mechanics. The turbines have small and huge parts that have been maintained on a regular basis.

A mechanic checks the turbines once in a while and does repairs whenever necessary.
The fuel cell engineer is another popular green job. Many appliances and vehicles will run on hydrogen fuel cells in the future and the fuel cell engineers are responsible for installing the cells and maintaining them. Today engineers with an in depth knowledge of fuel cells are in great demand across the United States.

There are the green builders as well who are vying for space. A green builder is a person who has got the necessary credentials to undertake green residential and commercial projects. The number of green builders is relatively less at present but the numbers are predicted to mushroom up in the near future as more and more people become aware of the benefits of going green.

Last but not the least are the wind turbine factory workers as the manufacturing of turbines require the services of a skilled labor force.
