The ES product will also have a star rating as to how energy compliant it is. The rating has a star symbol along with the image of the earth. It is the government that provides the ES star approval to the manufacturer for a particular product. ES products not only use less power but they also last for a lifetime. They are normally of high quality and you won’t have the need to replace them soon.
The easiest way to find out if the products is ES compliant before buying it is to go online and find out the information from the product’ website. There are several consumer magazines that feature ES products and you can refer to these magazines as well. Some appliances may have the yellow Energy Guide label. This label displays the results of the stringent performance and energy efficiency tests conducted by DOE.
You can also check the official website called Energystar.gov. All the products that comply with the guidelines are listed on the website. The site also has a store locator so that you can find out a source near your house that sells the appliance.
