Application/Exam Requirements
To qualify for the master exam, must have one of the following: a bachelor's degree from a Division-approved electrical engineering program and one year of full-time Division-approved work experience, an associate's degree from a Division-approved applied science program and two years of full-time Division-approved work experience, eight years of full-time Division-approved work experience. To qualify for the residential master exam, must have 2 years of full-time Division-approved work experience as a licensed residential journeyman electrician. To qualify for the journeyman exam, must have 4 years of full-time apprentice training or 6 years of full-time Division-approved work experience. To qualify for the residential journeyman exam, must have 2 years of full-time apprentice training
Fees
$110 application fee. $110 exam fee. First license is free and good for two years, expiring July 31 of the even-numbered years.
