Limitations/Applicability
Master electrician's exam requires 1 of 3 of the following: an electrical engineering degree and 1 year practical electrical work experience, graduation from a post-secondary electrical trade school and 4 years experience, or five years as a journeyman, with planning, layout, and supervision experience. Experience must be a blend of commercial, residential, industrial and institutional wiring for
Application/Exam Requirements
Electrical contractor's license must have a master electrician's license obtained by testing in Montana or employ a licensed master electrician who will be responsible for the electrical work you do. To qualify for a master, journeyman, or residential electrician's license, must pass exam administered by: Prometric, Inc.

Fees
$120 application fee. Electrical Contractor: $250 license fee good for 3 years. $75 exam fee. Renewals every three years.
